This morning's music news; Lollapalooza lineup is announced and it reads like a rerun of the Grammy Awards, Rufus Wainwright's new album gets a release date and Liam Gallagher accepts a Brit Award.

Accepting the Brits Album of 30 Years award for 1995’s What’s The Story (Morning Glory)’ at this year’s Brit Awards, Oasis singer Liam Gallagher coolly walked onstage and thanked a few people, but left out one, his brother Noel. No big surprise there, however what was surprising was what happened next. After his little rant where he called Oasis fans “the best fucking fans in the world,” Gallagher threw the microphone and the  award into the audience. During the next commercial break an audience member had to return the award. [NME]

Although it’s not official, news of this year’s Lollapalooza lineup is beginning to leak out and Green Day, Soundgarden and Lady Gaga will apparently headline Chicago’s three day event in August. Multiple industry sources have told the Daily Swarm that three more headliners are expected to part of the lineup when it is officially released. [Daily Swarm]

And Rufus Wainwright’s new album, All Days Are Nights: Songs For Lulu, is set for release in Canada on March 23. Featuring 12 tracks, this is Wainwright’s sixth studio album and first in three years. He’ll be touring in England in early March. [Consequence of Sound]
