Producer Detail is suing Drake over an alleged assault from his bodyguard, Chubbs.

Record producer Detail (government name: Noel Fisher), responsible for such hits as Beyoncé’s “Drunk in Love” and Wiz Khalifa’s “We Dem Boyz”, is suing Drake over an alleged 2014 assault.

According to the suit filed by Fisher, Drake had him beaten up by a bodyguard after Fisher declined an offer to become OVO Sound’s executive producer. Allegedly angered by Detail’s decision, Drake had his longtime bodyguard – a grown man known as “Chubbs” – punch Detail repeatedly outside Drake’s California home. Detail, who produced Drake’s 2013 song “305 To My City”, had arrived at the house at 2 a.m. after Drake’s invitation to work on new music.

Detail says that Chubbs broke his jaw and yelled, “I will beat all your asses, including your bitches. I don’t give a fuck. I will hit you again. Do you think Drake is soft? You think Drake’s a punk?” Answers: Yes, and definitely yes.

Detail is seeking an undisclosed amount of restitution damages. Drake has not yet commented on the suit.
