Listen to Chris Carrabba's cover of R.E.M's "End of the World as We Know It"

Chris Carrabba is apparently an alt-country singer now and in the lead-up to his upcoming covers album Spin has premiered the Dashboard Confessional singer’s surprisingly twangy cover of the iconic “End of the World as We Know It.”
Unlike Carrabba’s breathy, uncomfortably whispered cover of Justin Townes Earle’s “Mama’s Eyes,” which was released last week, his take on the R.E.M. classic is a full-voiced, slowed down interpretation. Listen to both below.
