Rush Limbaugh is obsessed with a Caribou song... and Dan Snaith doesn't like it.

Note to self: don’t piss off Dan Snaith by… liking one of his song and giving it exposure? Well, presumably that only applies when you’re a major talk show host with ideas like “feminism was established so as to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream of society” and that the Abu Ghraib prisoner abuse was like “fraternity hazing.” Yeah, not my ideal fan either.

Recently, conservative radio host and Birch Barlow inspiration Rush Limbaugh posted on his website about his love for Caribou’s “Can’t Do Without You,” from 2014’s Our Love. “This is my new favorite song of all time right now, folks.  I’ve been grooving to it in every free moment that I have. It’s called Can’t Do Without You, and that’s the whole lyric line,” Rush gushed about Dan Snaith’s insistent, lyrically concise anthem:

Snaith was none too pleased by this turn of events, especially Rush’s wish to have the song used as a bumper on his show:

Oof. That’s, uh… a fairly strongly-worded response to a guy who just really likes your song, and who’s promoting it to an audience whom, I’m guessing, has never heard the IDM awesomeness that is “Dundas, Ontario“…or even any IDM at all.

Oh, wait – I just remembered this is the guy who said “all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson.” Fuck that guy.
