'PUT DOWN THE GODDAMNED PHONE AND DRIVE, ASSHOLE.'
Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe isn’t one to mince words, and after he and his friends were involved in an accident caused by who he claims was a distracted driver, he penned an open letter to the 24-year-old woman on Instagram.
Posting pictures taken on the scene, Blythe explained that while he and his companions were parked at the side of the road in two vehicles, an SUV hit another truck, slammed into his friends’ vehicle behind him, and overturned. Blythe says the driver claimed her brakes went out but insists that such a scenario is “bullshit” as evidenced by the skid marks.
Regardless, the singer continues, she must have “been going 80 mph.” While the series of photos was angrily titled “PAY ATENTION,” the most Blythe-esque moment definitely came at the very start of his first post. Dedicated to anyone that might be checking out his Instagram, the post’s introduction reads: “We are all ok- BUT if you are driving & looking at this: PUT DOWN THE GODDAMNED PHONE AND DRIVE, ASSHOLE.” I mean – can’t really put it better than that. The entire series of Instagram posts is below.
