Watch Bruce and Evelyn dancing in the dark.
Bruce Springsteen isn’t one to let age get in the way of rocking out nightly – at 66, he’s as sprightly and energetic as a legendary rock icon a third his age (speaking of which, check out the ‘Steen in 1980… call me a Kinsey 3, because damn).
His unflagging dynamism is so potent it’s infectious, as one 89-year-old grandmother found out last night during a tour stop in Toronto.
During an encore performance of “Dancing In The Dark”, The Boss invited Evelyn, a woman celebrating her 89th birthday, up onstage to enjoy a few blissful moments dancing with the personification of New Jersey. Watch the PG-rated video of The Boss making a woman’s night here:
Also worth noting: Steve Van Zandt at 0:55, giving the same “what will this guy do next?” head shake he’s surely given 5,000 times onstage at this point.
