Billie Joe Armstrong is a beanheaded troll who, freshly out of rehab, decided to take to Instagram to call Korean pop sensation Psy “the herpes of music.”

“Once you think it’s gone, it comes back,” captioned Armstrong on an image of Psy. He also included the following hashtags: #herpes, #flareup and #pleasegoaway.

Hilariously, followers of his Instagram haven’t been entirely receptive to the unprovoked attack.

User “silverdigit” said Billie Joe and Psy would probably bond “over what brand of eyeliner” they prefer, while other users have accused the Green Day singer of deleting their comments based solely on dissenting opinions.

Psy said he didn’t know what herpes was when Fuse first told him about the diss, but after an explanation he took the diss in stride.

For what it’s worth, Billie Joe’s at least succeeded at putting his name back into the news with this one. Green Day’s latest trilogy of albums was a pretty monumental disaster, so it makes sense why he’d do something so childish and unprovoked. There’s a precedent for it, after all.

Oh, and Psy’s only had two hit crossover singles, and that’s after more than a decade’s worth of albums.
