Radio stations in several states report hacking.

There’s nothing particularly strange about hip-hop radio stations in California or New York playing YG and Nipsey Hussle’s anti-Donald Trump anthem “FDT”…but what about when stations in Trump-friendlier states such as South Carolina and Texas do the same, especially when the song is playing over and over again on an endless loop?

Shortly after Trump’s inauguration, several radio stations in the U.S. were hacked to play “FDT” on a loop for some time before station authorities intervened. The song reportedly played on repeat for 20 minutes on a Kentucky station and about 30 minutes in Texas, it also made an appearance on several other stations in Tennessee, Indiana, Washington and California.

“Other stations that it happened to have contacted me, and we all used the same device, and none of us had set a password to the device,” said Kathy Weisbach, the president of Kentucky’s WCHQ 100.9 FM said. “My bad, as I had done other security measures at the tower and the studio but failed to password protect this device. You can bet it is now.”

The common thread throughout all the hacked stations is that they were all small, community operations, and they all used unsecured Barix transmission boxes… boxes which, as we all remember, were also responsible for another explicit hacking incident a little while ago. In the grand scheme of things, I guess an anti-Trump song is a way better broadcast option than a furry sex show.
