Tidal's new track editing features let fans you customize any song to their preferred speed and length.

Perpetually embattled streaming service Tidal has introduced a new feature that ought to make inroads with the valuable bedroom DJ demographic: the new “Track Edit” feature allows users to customize the tempo and length of songs through sliders,

The feature is currently rolling out to mobile users, and will also allow users to save their custom song settings to ensure the songs always play back at your preferred tempo. You’ll never have to listen to Kenny Loggins’ “Conviction of the Heart” at anything less than 300 bpm again!

This is the second major update Tidal has recently added, with the first update being its new “Master-quality” audio, aka high-bandwidth lossless FLAC versions of select items in its library. The high-bandwidth tier is only available to subscribers of its $20 USD HiFi tier, naturally, but the Track Edit feature is being made available to all subscribers.

BRB, testing out how Bon Iver singles sound at speed metal tempos.
