The brains behind the most iconic video game character of all time meets the best band in late night.
With the release of Super Mario Run on iOS and the new Switch console imminent, Nintendo head honcho and Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night in a bid to promote both. The video game industry and idol and bluegrass fanatic also sat in with The Roots for a rendition of the music burned into the brain of every gamer the world over: the Super Mario Bros. theme.
Aah, that’s the stuff. The level-complete fanfare at the end is just icing on the nerdy cake. Now all we need is David Wise performing his best composition on James Corden or something.
