Nerdcore rappers Megan Ran and MC Chris are standing up for themselves after the Jeopardy! host's diss.

Nerdcore rappers and fans aren’t taking Alex Trebek’s savage beatdown of their entire scene lying down – despite that being their natural pose, on the couch playing Overwatch.

Nerdcore rapper Mega Ran voiced his displeasure with the Jeopardy! host and fact wizard through the only medium he knows: internet rapping. Ran, who’s currently on tour with fellow nerdcorers MC Chris and MC Lars (that like 60% of the nerdcore sphere right there) dropped some Twitter bars on Trebek, citing the host’s dismissal of nerdcore as especially bad-mannered since the bulk of Jeopardy!’s audience is made of huge nerdlingers. Yes, in answer to your question: Ran caps it off with the world’s most lukewarm “Suck it, Trebek”.

Ran’s Atlanta audience also had some familiar words for Alex:

MC Chris, of “Fett’s Vette” semi-“fame”, also had a message:

Augh! Stop asking Mr. Trebek to suck it, everyone. Please God, if you’re listening, let Trebek clap back with some bars of his own, or at least do a deep dive of nerdcore as a category on a future episode. Daily Double: “This off-brand genre of hip-hop is extremely artistically and aesthetically dubious.” Guy with novelty Overwatch/Breaking Bad shirt and transition lenses: “what is….horrorcore?” Trebek: “I’m sorry, no”.
