Hillary, there's something in the backroom...

As a Canadian, I am largely indifferent to the Hillary Clinton e-mail scandal. Does it make good debate fodder, and thus great entertainment? Sure. But I’ve had other concerns.

Until now, that is: Over the (long) weekend, right around the time the internet was dissecting Trump’s threats to jail his opponent and fawning over/cyberbullying Kenneth Bone, a bombshell dropped — Wikileaks found emails from Tom DeLonge about, yes, aliens.

According to the Wall Street Journal, DeLonge had been writing to Clinton’s campaign chairman, himself an alien believer, about UFOs.

As is often the case with the paranoid, DeLonge’s emails are written in an obtuse, semi-coherent code, referring to “Classified Science” and Department of Defence topics and a conspiracy that goes up to “A-Level Officials.”

Another e-mail makes things clearer:

When Roswell crashed, they shipped it to the laboratory at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. General McCasland was in charge of that exact laboratory up to a couple years ago.

This confirms DeLonge’s ongoing assertions that he has been in contact with high level government officials about aliens.

It does not, however, confirm that they have ever emailed him back.
