Le Tigre are back with pro-Hillary Clinton track "I'm With Her"

After 10 years away Le Tigre are back with new music.

The song is called “I’m With Her,” and its video, directed by Laura Parnes, was created for creative coalition Filmmakers For Hillary.

The release of “I’m With Her” doesn’t come as much of a shock, as earlier this year Kathleen Hanna straight-up said we were going to hear a “special” new song “sometime in October” and, ICYMI, it is currently October. The lyrics of “I’m With Her” don’t come as much of a shock either, because, well, it’s a pro-Hillary song by Le Tigre.

Still, one does wish we got better lyrics than the following selection from the second verse, which sound like someone is trying to rock an overly nice hot take:

Trump thinks Putin is a very strong leader
Just like him, a fascist bottom feeder
Building a wall is his greatest vision
Bigotry colors his every decision

That said, you can’t help but like this couplet, from the chorus:

I want a problem solver, a true rock climber
Pantsuit-wearing herstorical first-timer

While well-intentioned (and true), that’s really bad. Still, fuck Trump. [h/t Pitchfork]
