Officially, DJ Khaled is a producer, but you might know him more as a human meme; a bellowing Miami Heat fan who’s somehow leveraged his Snapchat account into flabbergasting new peaks of success.
This weekend, his brand hit new heights when he took to his favourite platform to Snap the birth of his son, live and soundtracked by his own music.
We’re not sure how his fiancée, Nicole Tuck, felt about it, but I digress. On Sunday, Khaled snapped talking to doctors, resting beside Tuck with their arms locked and, finally, his baby boy’s newborn cries. Luckily, he filmed the entire thing from behind his wife’s shoulders, keeping the more intimate details off camera.
Photo albums last a lifetime. Snapchats? Gone in 24 hours. But I suppose with all of this publicity, however, Khaled’s combined the two.
