Other words added to the Oxford dictionary include Fuhgeddaboudit, Moobs and Vom.

Drake apologized for coining Yolo when he hosted Saturday Night Live back in 2014, but the term, which has since been adopted by thirsty marketers and your hip aunts, refuses to die. In fact, it just took another step towards legitimacy: The acronym has officially been added to the Oxford English Dictionary.

What is YOLO? – The term even made it to Jeopardy, back in 2014

The acronym, which stands for You Only Live Once is in interesting company, as the other new additions to the dictionary range from the necessary to the ridiculous. Words like Clickbait and Gender-fluid are legitimate and deserve to be properly defined; terms like “Fuhgeddaboudit,” “Moobs,” which is a portmanteau of “man boobs” and “Vom,” which is short for vomit, probably do not.

But who are we to judge? YOLO, Oxford. Yolo. [h/t BBC]
