To be fair though, who wouldn't want to ride a flying stage?

Presidential hopeful, curator of nude celeb bodies, and aspiring IKEA designer. Need any more proof that Kanye West considers himself just a few orders of magnitude above the average, Xbox-playing, beer-swilling plebe? Just check out the setup for the current Saint Pablo tour, in which Ye soars above the crowd atop a flying stage, reminding us all of our comparatively lowly place in the universe.

Of course, ever since the days of Prometheus, us mere mortals have been trying to enter the realm of the gods, and at Kanye’s Atlanta show last night, it happened again. During Kanye’s performance of “Power,” an overeager fan at ATL’s Philips arena tried to climb up onto Kanye’s flying stage*, only to come crashing down onto the crowd below when he lost his grip.

Well, let that be a reminder to us all: that’s what happens when us mortals and get to the top of Mount Olympus. Next time we should try to break into Kanye’s studio and steal some fire.

*(ED Note: Fans, don’t do this. You’re not bigger than the show, and someone — namely the people you’re falling on — could get seriously injured).
