"It'll be good to have him drop by".

Toronto’s mega-upscale Bridle Path neighborhood is known for many things: of course, it was formerly a Paisley Park franchise location. One can only imagine the hilarious Odd Couple-esque situations that Path residents constantly find themselves in, and in the upcoming season, a new cast member is going to shake things up. DRAKE, to CONRAD BLACK: “Hey fam, still bummed about losing the Order of Canada? I got you, replace that OC with OVO”. Cue canned laughter.

One fellow Path resident who’s looking forward to Drake joining the crew is Gordon Lightfoot, who told the Toronto Star that he’s “very proud of the fact that [Drake] would choose to move next door to me,” and that “I’ll go over to his house for breakfast.”

“His mom might come over for coffee,” said the 77-year-old Lightfoot.

Um, you might be getting a little bit ahead of yourself there bud, I’d consider it a win if Aubrey had ever even heard “If You Could Read My Mind”.

“He’s a powerful performer, he really is. He’s one of those guys where you’d say he’s got something special,” Lightfoot continued. When asked about how other Path residents might react to their new neighbour and the probability of some insane parties, Lightfoot replied: “People really do mind their own business around here, but everyone is with each other spiritually.” I’ve no doubt that’s true, at least if “spiritually” means “in the same top-tier tax bracket”.

Note to Drake, provided your mega-mansion actually gets built: please, please blare new demos until 4AM in the direction of Conrad Black’s house.
