PREMIERE: Listen to Weird Lines' self-titled debut album

Ultra-prolific Maritime songwriter, rocker, and Eric’s Trip member Julie Doiron is ready to unveil the debut album from her new project, Weird Lines. Due out July 8th as the first release from Sappy Futures Ltd, you can stream the entire self-titled effort right now below.

Alongside Doiron in Weird Lines are Jon McKiel, C.L. McLaughlin, Michael C. Duguay, drummer James Anderson, and saxophonist Chris Meaney. Alternately saccharine and raw, the eight tracks that make up Weird Lines distill the best of 1950s pop with ’90s distortion in a powerfully whimsical manner that brings to mind Joey Santiago from The Pixies jamming with Sebadoh. Plus some psychedelic saxophone, of course.
