Someone made a short film of Kanye West trying not to smile

I would argue the poster boy for resting bitch face is Kanye “Look At Me But Don’t You Dare Take My Picture” West.

Sure, these days he’ll do his husbandly duty and pose with Kim on the red carpet, but homie makes sure his face says “I’m too hard for this shit” throughout. And he ain’t breaking character for nothing. Observe his (non) reaction at last year’s Time 100 Gala when Amy Schumer pretended to trip and fall in front of the couple.

That’s dedication, bruh. The funny thing is, Kanye actually has a super infectious smile that makes him look more like a child full of wonderment than the bitter grandpa longing for the days before TV he usually comes across as.

At last year’s NBA Finals, Kanye was caught on video showing off his pearly whites before noticing the camera and aggressively stifling the expression of joy (presumably while mentally screaming “You’re fucking weak, Kanye”). Thankfully, some wonderful individual decided to track down every recorded instance of the same, and made what I think deserves to be an award winning short film. Grab a glass of merlot, raise your pinky and enjoy. Just don’t let them see you smiling.
