Death Grips and Primus, together at last.

If you thought Run the Jewels’ 2014 Zack de la Rocha collaboration “Close Your Eyes (And Count To Fuck)” was a surprising act of ’90s nostalgia mining/stunt-casting, Death Grips have now one-upped them with a new song featuring Les Claypool.

The hip-hop agitators’ latest dispatch from the Bottomless Pit (actually, this song doesn’t even appear on their recently released and deconstructed album) features none other than the 52-year-old Primus frontman doing his thing on the four-string. Alongside Death Grips’ usual barrage of glitchy electronics, Zach Hill drumming like a maniac, and MC Ride slurring/howling in ominous fashion, “More Than The Fairy” seamlessly mixes in some of Claypool’s trademark bass slapping.

Instrumentally, it doesn’t sound all that different from Hill’s previous band Hella, if that’s something that might get you chirpin’ hard. Listen to the debut of Primus Grips below:
