The Toronto-via-Calgary hardcore heroes add romantic tension to their angular attack.

Calgary-born, Toronto-based hardcore heroes La Luna have a new album, Always Already, out May 10, and you can watch the new music video for the first single, “House Party”, below.

Since getting started in 2009, La Luna (formerly known as Brain Fever) have played over 200 shows, and introduced several different countries to their brand of melodic hardcore. Committed DIY lifers, all La Luna tours have been booked 100% by the band, and all albums released independently. That’s not due to the quality of La Luna’s music though – the bands laces their angular, crushing guitar attack with enough indie rock melodic sense that at times you’ll swear you’re listening to a Malkmus riff.

Directed by Hussein Juma and assistant director Heather Ross, the video for “House Party” explores the romantic tension and sense of possibility present at – what else? – a house party hosted by the band. Watch the video below, and get ready to join the cult of La Luna.
