Nick Jonas blames his terrible guitar solo on a "huge brain fart"

Is your body still in a state of cringe over the ghastly guitar solo Nick Jonas trotted out at Sunday’s ACM Awards? What’s that? You haven’t seen it? Gaze into its trainwrecky existence below!

Poor Nick. We’d expect that from Kevin, but Nick was clearly having an off night when he joined Kelesa Ballerini for the country music award show performance. (It’s almost like someone changed the difficulty settings on Guitar Hero without telling the guy.) The Internet™ wasn’t particularly kind to Nick’s less-than-stellar solo with headlines featuring the words “fail,” “botched”, and “miserably” popping up like prom night zits after the moment ended.

Nick knows it didn’t go well and he acknowledged the rough outing via the time honoured art of the “yeah, that sucked” tweet:

We’re not entirely sure what prompted the brain fart that led to Nick shitting the live TV bed, but we’ve all been there before so it’s a relatable spot to be in. Plus, Nick scores bonus points for being able to laugh at himself.

If that happens again, we recommend Nick take a page from his Scream Queens alter-ego Boone Clemens and just lay low pretending to be Joaquin Phoenix for a while.
