Rapper Mo-G claims he inspired Drake's hits and never got paid

Toronto's Mo-G claims Drake ripped off a few things including his winter jacket style.
“Mo-G with the dance moves, Ave Boy with the dance moves” Drake says in his latest single “Summer Sixteen”, shouting out Toronto rapper Mo-G. The Regent Park dweller and Halal Gang crew member recently released his debut EP Ave Boy funded by Drake’s label OVO back in January. Yet Mo-G’s relationship with the OVO crew isn’t as smooth as Aubrey’s Ginobili dance attempts would have you believe.
“Have you ever ever heard in the history of hip-hop a man that gives away his creativity and helps make Billboard hits, but doesn’t get paid a dollar or get one credit for it and is here stuck in the ‘hood?” Mo-G said, kicking off series of Instagram posts claiming he hasn’t been properly compensated for his contributions to Drake’s success.
Mo-G specifically takes aim at Drake’s longtime manager Oliver El-Khatib, whom he calls a “shady-ass white boy” and a “culture vulture” for consistently “stirring the pot” between Drake and himself. “I thought we was family, OVO, but these n****s never paid me a dollar,” Mo-G says, claiming Drake’s label are “trying to hide me, Mo-G, from the world, the industry, and everything, because they don’t want the truth to come out.” He goes on to blast El-Khatib for offering him a paltry sum: “liver told me the whole OVO team thinks I deserve compensation for everything Drake took from me, and all the man offers me is $500. $500 can’t even pay mama’s rent.”
What, precisely, Mo-G contributed to Drake’s work is unclear, but most damningly of all, Mo-G’s Instagram assault includes a winter jacket style comparison between himself and the 6 God. Did Drake rip off Mo-G’s penchant for wearing jackets in the winter in Canada?! That’s a career-ender, right there.
Drake’s just pissing everybody off these days with unpaid contributions to his oeuvre.
