There will also be a tour for all you Sutherfans out there.

Have you ever found yourself binge-watching 24 and having a light sob to yourself that Kiefer Sutherland doesn’t have an album of folk-flavoured tunes you could listen to once the show’s done? Dry those tears, person unlikely to exist! Such a thing is on its way.

That’s right, we have another Lost Boys alum in the music game. Sutherland has revealed that he’ll be offering up his debut album Down in a Hole this year complete with a tour. It’s one of those surprises that isn’t super-duper surprising, actually. Sutherland co-founded the indie label Ironworks (he apparently left before “Hanging By A Moment” doofs Lifehouse put out an album with them) and the man has a few stories to tell so why not?

“It’s the closest thing I’ve ever had to a journal or diary,” Sutherland told Rolling Stone. “There is something very satisfying about being able to look back on my own life, good times and bad, and express those sentiments in music. As much as I have enjoyed the writing and recording process, I am experiencing great joy now being able to play these songs to a live audience, which was something I hadn’t counted on.”

The actor isn’t venturing north of the border for his live trek in April and May, but maybe you’re looking for a reason to take a surprise spring holiday to Buffalo, Pawtucket, or Raleigh. Here’s Kiefer covering Gordon Lightfoot to sort of even things out:
