The U.S. Vice President endorses The Boss for a promotion to Commander-in-Chief.

Though there’s yet to be a real rock ‘n’ roll President (no, Clinton doesn’t count), Joe Biden has the perfect candidate in mind to eventually kick out the jams in the Oval Office.

In a new interview with Billboard discussing his teaming up with Lady Gaga for their anti-campus assault initiative, the American Vice President said that he felt Bruce Springsteen would make the best U.S. commander-in-chief.

“The middle class would have the best chance with Bruce Springsteen. He understands issues facing working Americans,” Biden said, a statement validated by listening to pretty much any Springsteen LP, but in particular Nebraska.

Sadly, besides being the official “New Jersey Pop Music Ambassador to America”, Springsteen doesn’t seem to have much interest in entering the political arena, as he didn’t actualize fans’ pleas in 2002 to run for the New Jersey Senate.

Phew, made it through that whole thing without making a “Born to Run” reference… oh, damn it.

Biden also went on to sing (not literally, unfortunately) the praises of Springsteen’s It’s On Us sexual assault awareness initiative partner, Lady Gaga, saying that the artist formerly known as Stefanie Germanotta is “a survivor who has the courage to speak out,” and that she “encourages so many other women to step forward.”
