This Drake sequence would be way more exciting if people still watched The Simpsons.

How DARE you accuse The Simpsons of no longer being relevant. They’ve heard of Drake, dude!

Fox’s most unkillable animated property is still chugging along with tales of Springfield and beyond and on this weekend’s episode we got a blast of Drake. Sadly, Drizzy wasn’t popping by in a cameo appearance to show Milhouse Van Houten all the things he could achieve, but instead his 2013 hit “Started From The Bottom” soundtracked a fantasy sequence where Bart Simpson spends a newly acquired fortune in a way that’s sorta like “Springfield, Springfield” but infinitely half-assed. Think more along the lines of the Kesha couch gag from a few years back. It’s not elite Simpsons, but there’s still novelty thrills to be had.

In case you missed last Sunday’s episode (WE KID! We know you haven’t watched since like the second Simpsons in the future episode), Bart plays slumlord to a homeless lady (voiced by SNL treasure Kate McKinnon) who has a collection of secrets and a singing voice that sounds suspiciously like Natalie Maines of Dixie Chicks fame. NPR staple Bob Boilen also made appearance which is very good news for all you tote bag fans out there.

We have the Simpsons x Drake clip tucked below to be watched at your leisure. Feel free to join in using your Rapmaster 2000 megaphone.
