"You had to spam my Facebook page with gifs of pubic hair!"

An anonymous group of indie-rock hating cyber-jerks recently went after the Facebook pages of groups like the New Pornographers, Best Coast, and earlier butt-eating targets Death Cab for Cutie. At least they left Papa Roach alone this time.

Bob Mould of Hüsker Dü, Sugar, and an impressive solo career featuring drummer/comedian Jon Wurster was also hit by the hackers, so he responded with a song. In 30 seconds’ time, Mould blasts out some trademark fuzzy guitar riffs while cramming in lyrics about pubic hair gifs, Facebook tech support, and a middle finger flipped to the web-dummies. Stern but fair.

Mould’s untitled number now joins the pantheon of songs firing back at critics including Bob Dylan’s “Positively 4th Street”, Dr. Dre’s “Still D.R.E.”, Lady Sovereign’s “Love Me Or Hate Me” and Sonic Youth’s “Kill Yr Idols” (originally titled “I Killed Christgau with My Big Fucking Dick”). Watch it below:
