Members of Fucked Up collaborate with Tapestry Opera on a genre-defying music drama for the 21st century.
This month, members of local punk favourites Fucked Up join forces with Tapestry Opera for Tap:Ex Metallurgy, and we’re stoked to partner with Tap:Ex to give a pair of tickets to a lucky reader.
Committed to experimentation and innovation, Tapestry Opera’s annual Tap:Ex series explores what opera might look like with a twenty-first century rebirth. Tap:Ex Metallurgy features Fucked Up’s Mike Haliechuk, Jonah Falco, and Josh Zucker, and two of Canada’s most masterful and versatile opera singers, mezzo-soprano Krisztina Szabó, and tenor David Pomeroy.
If you’d like a pair of tickets to the Friday, November 21st, 8:00 p.m. performance, tweet us and tell us why (you’ve gotta be convincing)!
Tap:Ex Metallurgy takes place at Ernest Balmer Studio, 9 Trinity St., Studio 315, Distillery District, from November 19-21. Grab tickets or get more info at their website.
The winner must be in or able to get to Toronto for the show. Contest closes November 17, 2015.
