Item condition: Used (We really hope not.)

Ever hit up eBay for a rare, sealed vinyl record from your favourite band? Of course, we all have! I still scour the online auction site daily for the special copies of Celebrate Me Home where Kenny Loggins appears 300% greasier due to a printing error.

Anyway, record aficionado John Book was doing just that when he came across an eBay user who was selling an unopened copy of KISS’ debut self-titled 1974 album. Upon closer inspection of the attached photo, Book noticed a reflection of the seller in the KISS rockers’ makeup-caked faces, and came to the conclusion that eBay user “cuje” must really, really like KISS. See for yourself here (warning: NSFW, unless you work somewhere that’s OK with semi-obscured nudity, like a chiaroscuro porn company or something). Yep, Gene’s reaction seems about right.

As of today the highest bid on the record is up to $122.50, so maybe the photo was less an oversight and more an marketing ploy? Only five days left to outbid the top seller and claim your KISS prize! Hopefully that’s all the seller did, but the item is being sold as ‘used’, so the purchased might merit some reflection.
