Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger still recording together despite divorce

Avril Lavigne and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger recently broke hearts across the country with the announcement of their separation. However, just over one month later, Chavril have shared a pair of studio selfies featuring some curious hat choices, a healthy selection of guitars, and the following captions: “YeeHaw! Writing with Chad today” and “Back where it all started…”

The belle of Belleville and the man from Hanna tied the knot in July 2013, with songs like “Let Me Go” and the atrocious “Hello Kitty” popping up as the fruit of their labours. At this point, we have more questions than answers. Will their upcoming studio effort be the break up song to beat ’em all? What does Deryck Whibley think? And is this even the real Avril or an imposter?
