'Conversations With Alanis' will discuss everything from music to science to spirituality.

“Hi Alanis, I’m afraid to fly, and I have a flight I’ve waited my whole damn life to take tomorrow. Any advice? Sincerely, Mr. Play-It-Safe”.

Presumably, these are the sorts of calls Alanis Morissette will be fielding on her new podcast, Conversations With Alanis. You can download the first episode right now.

Alanis announced the podcast through Facebook earlier this week with a suitably inspirational quote:

Well, beats the lyrics to “You Learn”, anyway. Conversations With Alanis will feature dialogues with “different individuals from all walks of life” according to its description page. Morissette will “dive into science, neurobiology, music, travel, social commentary, maybe a tiny bit of political, and feminism” as the podcast runs.

In any case, it sounds like Conversations With Alanis will be way more than just “Hand In My Pocket” repeated ad nauseam, which honestly would’ve been fine fine fine.
