This app plays Nickelback to stop you from contacting your ex

Scientists are working around the clock on Nickelback-related apps. That includes the crack team at AUX, with the Nickelblock plug-in we created back in 2011 to “eliminate all mention of Alberta’s finest swamp heshers from your web browser.” Nickelblock begat Chris Brownout and the team is now developing Footigue and Taylor Swiffer plug-ins for the scourges of the modern media landscape.

The Huffington Post has also alerted us to an equally important product using the Nickeblock name. We would file a lawsuit if this didn’t sound so damn essential. According to a pitch video from Lady Products, “the developers of Period Tracker and FroYo Finder” have now created the first smartphone app that will play Nickelback songs when you try to contact your ex or look at their photos online. Side effects include an immunity to “Photograph” but it’s still better than wasting your days pining over Brock Hampton.
