Only Quebec can ride the lightning of this limited edition Budweiser.

Metal giants Metallica have paired up with Labatt for a limited edition brand of booze that will be exclusive to La Belle Province. Le Journal de Québec reports that 91,000 black cans of Metallica edition Budweiser will be available for chugging starting September 28. You’re also welcome to hurl the cans if you get into an argument over the quality of St. Anger.

You may be asking why Quebec’s been tapped to get these special edition brews. The Metallica alcoholica is being put out to commemorate the band being the last act to play Quebec City’s Colisée Pepsi and the first act to play in the newly completed Centre Vidéotron. We like to imagine this beer would also have been put into motion if Lars Ulrich was named Lieutenant Governor of Quebec.

“We are very pleased that the guys in Metallica are participating in this unique partnership that marks the history of the Centre Vidéotron,” shared Labatt spokesman Jean Gagnon in a statement.

Cans can be purchased in cases of 15 and 24. This is fantastic news for all of us that would like to pass off our binge drinking as memorabilia collecting.
