"She makes dope songs, that's what it is all about."

Iggy Azalea’s not everyone’s cup of mumbly tea, but the Australian rapper has recently scored some praise from a hip-hop hero with marquee name value.

In an interview with Daily Mail Australia, Ice Cube gave the “Fancy” artist a hearty thumbs-up.

“She makes dope songs, that’s what it is all about,” said the XXX: State of the Union star.

Ice Cube, who was doing press Down Under for Straight Outta Compton, also stuck up for Iggy Iggs Eggs Benedict in the face of ghostwriting claims.

“It’s not about how the song gets made, it’s about what comes out of the speaker,” shared the rap icon. “If she can be hot coming out of the speaker, who cares what it took to make it.”

Crafting tracks is rarely a one-person operation says Cube.

“Every great song that you hear has probably been put together by a few people, not just one soul,” he explained.

Ice Cube’s defense/endorsement of Iggy might lose him a spot on Snoop Dogg’s Christmas card list. Snoop and Iggy got into some beef last year that was kinda-sorta resolved and had a bow put on it when Iggy dressed as a character from White Chicks for Halloween.
