Because Drake.

Already a man of many (flat-brimmed) hats, it’s now obvious The Artist Formerly Known As Aubrey Graham won’t be content until he has a finger in every pie. Let’s just hope he manages to keep those fingers out of the pies of the new restaurant he just opened with famous Toronto chef Susur Lee.

The restaurant, which is called Fring’s (apparently named for the combination of fries and onion rings) opened last night with a star-studded party featuring the likes of Jada and Jayden Smith, Serena Williams, and of course Drake himself. The restaurant is located on King Street West, in the same location as former hotspot Crush Wine Bar.

So what’s on the menu? NOW has the scoop, getting Susur Lee himself to dish: “We haven’t really figured it out yet. We’re still testing and tasting, you know. Good things take time.” Uh, ok. I’m gonna go ahead and assume it’ll be 100% artisanal frings, then.

Or maybe not? According to CityNews, “It’s not known if they’ll be on the menu.”

For his part, Drake was there at a typically thirsty 8 p.m. sharp, DJing for his high-society pals. Sure, you can make the freaking Fring’s (Fring’s!) party right on the dot, but you can’t make the Polaris gala, right Drake? Oh well, at least we got this out of it, which almost makes the whole thing worth it:
