Canadian comic book legend Todd McFarlane hit by Drake-loving hacker

The Spawn creator fired back at his social media hacker in a Drake-referencing video.
Calgary-born comic book legend Todd McFarlane is best known for his hellish superhero creation Spawn, as well as being the first artist to bring Spider-Man villain Venom to life. He typically isn’t known for his appreciation for Drake, as well as his position that Tupac is still among us, but you wouldn’t know that judging from his latest Tweets.
Typically, McFarlane’s Twitter followers would expect to hear about his opinions and details about the comics industry, or maybe some major-league baseball trivia. They wouldn’t expect, uh, this:
The account started posting gems like “shoutouts to my boss bitches” and “yall better not come to my funeral with that fake shit” a few days ago, and while I’d dearly love to be hit with some ghetto gospel from McFarlane, it seems evident that McFarlane’s been the victim of a Drake-loving hacker. A good-humoured video posted to Todd’s Facebook page confirms that he doesn’t actually think that “friends turn to foes, foes they be fake”… although that does seem to accurately describe that whole Neil Gaiman situation awhile back.
Todd has some truth bombs for the hacker, saying that Drake would never stoop so low as to hijack a fellow Canadian’s social media account, especially since anti-hacking is enshrined in the”bill of goods… Charter up in Canada.” Well, it is for now, but I wouldn’t put it past Stephen Harper to mess around with our precious Bill of Goods if he wins come October 19th.
The video ends with a gentle reminder from Todd that hacking is illegal, set to “Started From The Bottom” and complete with a super-imposed Canadian flag. Hopefully this summit of Canadiana leads to Todd doing the art for Views From the 6ix featuring Aubrey as Spawn and Meek Mill as Violator. 40 can be The Redeemer, I guess.
