Alexisonfire officially reunite

Good news for fans of St. Catharines, Ontario’s premiere scream team: During their set at Riot Fest in Toronto on Saturday, Alexisonfire made it known that they would be staying together for good after completing their current string of reunion shows.

Guitarist Wade MacNeil made the announcement onstage, to the cheers and approval of the attendees.”Thank you for sticking with us. We promise to never leave you again. No more sentimental shit. Alexisonfire is officially back!” Thanks to an enterprising fan, you can watch the onstage announcement below. The crowd sure seems happy about it:

Alexisonfire officially broke up just three years ago in 2012 with a 15-date farewell tour, after band members decided to focus their attention on other projects. No word yet on whether the reunion has resulted in the commensurate uptick in skinny jeans sales, but clothing companies should be optimistic.
