The KISS bassist is not a suspect, according to the LAPD.

Gene Simmons’ home was searched in connection with a child porn investigation, but the KISS bassist is not currently considered a suspect.

The LAPD division that deals with online crimes against children served a search warrant at Simmons’ home yesterday, CNN reports, but neither Simmons or anyone in his family is considered a suspect.

Police believe that a crime was perpetrated by another party either in the Simmons residence, or through the use of their Internet connection last year. Might be time to change the wifi password, though. We all know it’s “ScrewYouCriss.”

Gene was away on tour when the police came knocking, and the Simmons clan cooperated fully with the police. Authorities have requested that he and his family do not discuss the details of the case, citing an ongoing investigation. If nothing else, this ought to make a great B-plot on an upcoming episode of Family Jewels.
