Two dead and three critically injured in the shooting at Toronto's Muzik Nightclub.

Drake’s successful sixth annual OVO Fest ended in tragedy with a shooting at the event’s official afterparty.

CBC News has reported that a woman was pronounced dead at the scene with another man dying in hospital. Toronto police have stated they are in their 20s or 30s. Three other injured but alive shooting victims have been transported to different hospitals, and police believe there may be other victims as well.

The late night event was hosted at Muzik Nightclub on Toronto’s CNE grounds, across the bridge from the Molson Amphitheatre, where OVO ended its two-night run on Monday. Police Superintendent Frank Bergen told media “this is a sporadic shooting that did occur just before 3:30 this morning.” He described the afterparty as “a well-run event with lots of police officers in and around the area, culminating on a large evening event that occurred over at the OVO Festival.” Shots were fired inside the bar and continued into the street.

The investigation is ongoing and police have asked anyone with information to contact them through the Homicide Squad, Crime Stoppers, or 14 Division at 416-808-1400.
