We are going to take it.

Dee Snider announced that his Rock & Roll Christmas Tale is coming to Toronto’s stages this fall, and he’s going all out with the promotion, and even serving double doubles from a Tim Horton’s drive-through on Dundas Street in Toronto for today’s Camp Day charity event.

Dee Snider is no stranger to the Broadway stage… or Christmas. Now, the Twisted Sister frontman is combining his passions with the jingle bell banger Dee Snider’s Rock & Roll Christmas Tale, coming to Toronto’s Winter Garden Theatre in November.

Since 1976, dolled up in his best wrestler-metal getup, Snider has led the cartoonishly grotesque/glamorous Long Island rockers. However, the last few years have seen a few unexpected detours. 2010 saw him star in the Broadway production of Rock of Ages, followed by his contribution to the Frank Sinatra heavy metal tribute and the 2012 album Dee Does Broadway. This came on the holiday heels of the stocking stuffer album A Twisted Christmas in 2006, and (perhaps most surprising) Snider’s songwriting credit for “The Magic of Christmas Day (God Bless Us Everyone)” recorded in 1998 by Celine Dion.

Dee Snider’s Rock & Roll Christmas Tale premiered at Chicago’s Broadway Playhouse last year. The hard rocking stage show tells the timeless parable of a band called Däisy Cütter who sell their souls to the devil before learning about the true spirit of the season. It features reworked versions of Twisted Sister hits like “We’re Not Gonna Take It” and “I Wanna Rock,” with Snider starring as the narrator and exorcist (’natch).
