Bets are being made that Kanye will be booed off stage at Glastonbury

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian sharing a tent is pegged as a 500/1 longshot.
Are you one of those grumbly types that hates Kanye West and begins hissing like a snake whenever he pops up around a shiny award statuette? If so, it’s expected you might have something in common with the crowd at Glastonbury on Saturday.
The unkillable English music bash’s decision to worship Yeezus in a Pyramid Stage headline slot was greeted by a disturbing amount of venom from UK music fans. A petition demanding Kanye’s exile from Glasto racked up 133K signatures and now online betting company Ladbrokes is offering 2/1 odds that Mr. West will be booed off the stage.
“Kanye’s headline spot is still a touchy subject, and after a few alcoholic beverages it seems increasingly likely the crowd will turn against him,” notes Ladbrokes PR person Jessica Bridge. “All bets are off when it comes to Kim being heckled.”
Ideally, the Queen will release a message before the weekend reminding the crowd to respect artistry. That’ll calm everybody down.
Additional odds are being offered up on Kanye being over an hour late (5/4), his likelihood to sleep in a tent with wife Kim Kardashian (500/1) and the possibility the power couple might mud wrestle (a more reasonable 100/1).
There’s no rule saying Glasto attendees have to bolt themselves down at the Pyramid Stage when Kanye performs. Other acts performing in that time slot include Deadmau5, Suede, Jon Hopkins and an intriguing combo show featuring Georgle Cinton, Parliament, Funkadelic, The Family Stone and probably a shitload of drugs.
Here’s an even wilder thought for those in attendance: You could just give Kanye a chance and let him try to win you over with a massive performance. Just an idea.
