Rapper Ja Rule, known to his mother and the IRS as Jeffrey Atkins, stopped by Fox Business yesterday to promote a new “elite credit card for millennials.” Now that’s what I call a brand ambassador! All the millennials I know can’t get enough of Ja Rule, a guy who had maybe 2 hits a decade and a half ago and about 5 minutes of screentime in the first Fast and the Furious. “It’s a very unique situation,” Ja said when asked about why he chose to become ‘Creative Head’ for Magnises credit card company. “Whenever you can marry the affluent with the less fortunate, you get the birth child which is called hip-hop.” Strong words, Ja. Strong, bewildering words.

When asked about his thoughts on the upcoming 2016 US Presidential election:

“I like Hillary. I like Hillary. But, you know, it’s crazy because … I also think Jeb is a good candidate as well,” said Ja Rule. “But, you know, I’m a Democrat, so yeah, so I would vote Hillary.” I’m sure the Clinton 2016 team went nuts when they heard that endorsement. “Check it out guys! This washed-up rapper who’s now shilling for an aspirational credit company likes Hil!” Check out the continuing convergence of art, finance, and politics below:

Remember What’s Love though? Definitely still a jam. Wait, Ja Rule was just featured on that? All this time I’ve been telling people my fav Ja Rule song was What’s Love! Why didn’t anyone tell me!? Aw, I’ve been making a complete fool of myself! Oh well, I’m sure tomorrow Fat Joe will be promoting a new stock pot for millennials or whatever.
