Like it or lump it, Iggy Azalea and Charlie XCX’s “Fancy” video was at least an apt Clueless parody.

Now, the Australian gibberish rapper has tried to strike lightning in the same spot again, teaming up with Britney Spears to take on the cult 1988 film Earth Girls Are Easy. Sadly, this ground remains un-scorched.

On a shallow level, “Pretty Girls” nails the aesthetics of permed hair and palm trees, convertibles and neon-lit clubs, but a few things are off. First of all, Britney has stepped into the roles of both Geena Davis and Julie Brown, while Igloo Australia seems to be wrapping up the trio of extraterrestrial love interests originally played by Jeff Goldblum, Damon Wayans and Jim Carrey into one monotone Valley Girl. Just when you think the painfully unfunny dialogue interlude might be the most painful moment (“She’s like totally from another planet…”), the video pops in one of the most gratuitous uses of product placement of all time.

Saddest of all, the song’s nursery rhyme hook is hard to avoid getting lodged in your brain (“We’re just so pretty!”). Is this the worst earworm since “My Humps”?
