Toronto queen of raunchy blues-rock SATE is back with a video for her intense anthem “Warrior,” which we’re premiering below:

“‘Warrior’ is a reminder to live your dream,” says SATE. “It’s a call to seize the day. It’s about bringing passion and true joy to yourself, and that organically spreads to each and everyone around you. Imagine if we all did the things that we truly loved without compromise?” (Us, we’d probably play PS4 all day without putting on pants, but SATE’s got something bigger in mind for her dirty, distorted riffs to inspire.)

Toronto’s Cazhhmere directed the clip, and said it was a rush of adrenaline from the moment the camera rolled. “Sate made my job easy giving me take after take of amazing performance. The challenge was figuring out how to fit it all into 3 minutes.”

Produced by Tom McKay, SATE’s Red EP is available now through Pledge Music, the online direct-to-fan music site, with her top pledgers having input into selecting the final selections that will make her album due out later this year. Even better, 10 percent of all money raised through pledges will go to support the Alzheimer Society of Canada. Catch SATE at CMW May 6, with more dates to be announced this summer.
