Remembering the time no one wanted an IBM clone

"NOOOOOOO." - Anyone being asked if they really want a clone
Brands and bands and brands and bands and brands and bands have been friends forever. We recently recounted some of our not-so-fondest memories of brand and band collisions, namely in TV commercial jingles, and it jogged our memory fondly of perhaps one of the best adaptations of popular song for use in a commercial ever.
It’s shocking that this budget-ass commercial came from IBM because isn’t that, or wasn’t it at one time, a rich-ass company? Maybe they spent all their money licensing Alice Deejay’s 1998 hit “Better off Alone”? No one wanted a clone, but maybe, IBM, it’s all some of us could afford.
