Limblifter fans waited eleven years for new music, and Pacific Milk was more than worth the wait. When we caught up with Ryan Dahle prior to the record’s release, he reiterated that the album is more than simple fan-service, explaining the decade-long delay by telling us that he “didn’t want to make shitty records.” And today, with our premiere of the band’s latest video, for “Dopamine,” we can say that rule extends to visuals, too.

More than your standard performance video, the Derek Horn-directed clip for “Dopamine” gets its edge with interspersed, imminently GIFable clips; the kind of viral bursts you’ve likely seen on reddit, or Facebook, paired with the band’s run through in a room with increasingly hazy lighting effects.

The combination is at once jarring and watchable, but never distracting from the song itself, which is one of Pacific Milk‘s finest.

Pacific Milk is out now on We Are Busy Bodies.
