Is the God of Fuck pressing charges against a Lethbridge townie? Did he offer to pay a woman for sex? Did a makeup artist get elbowed in the face?

One of the strangest stories we’ve heard this week involved Marilyn Manson, a Denny’s, and Lethbridge, Alberta. Although the story’s still developing, here’s what we know so far: After a show in the Alberta town, Manson rolled into a Denny’s at 2:30 a.m. with his entourage. Then, the story diverges. A kerfuffle ensued—this much, we know, as Alberta police have confirmed an incident—and some claim that Manson was punched after calling a girl a “bitch.” Other witnesses say the attack was unprovoked, with Manson being suckerpunched by a Lethbridge townie.

The police, for their part, have declared the matter closed. But it clearly isn’t.

New pieces of information continue to emerge from the fiasco. First, another eyewitness has come forward—and this time, he spoke to Lethbridge radio station 98.1 The Bridge. The unnammed witness claims that the puncher was his “co-worker’s buddy,” and argues that the attack wasn’t unprovoked. Manson, he says, was hitting on the punch deliverer’s girlfriend, and was the Smells Like Children singer was only attacked after he offered the woman money to sleep with him.

Listen to the interview below.

Manson, however, sees things differently. As the Huffington Post reports, Manson’s manager denies that any lewd comments were made, and that the attack was purely unprovoked. And now, he may be pressing charges: TMZ now says that Manson is in contact with Lethbridge authorities, and may be suing the attacker—not only for punching him, but for elbowing his makeup artist in the face.

We’ll keep you posted on any updates in the God of Fuck vs. The Town of Lethbridge case.
