Kanye's Illuminati denial proves he is definitely in the Illuminati

For all his egocentricity, there’s no denying that Kanye West is a powerful man. Time recently named the rapper-producer as one of the world’s most influential people, and for good reason: He’s had his tendrils extend far past music—he’s become a force in the art and fashion worlds, too.

But as with any successful hip-hop adjacent celebrities, Kanye’s been accused of being a member of the Illuminati. Typically, such accusations are a result of stupid people with over-active imaginations; they can’t handle the inherently chaotic nature of the reality, and, driven by a lethal mix of idiocy and paranoia, they project patterns and order on situations where none exist. Maybe the fear of the Illuminati come from those who can’t handle the complexity of modernity, and instead, latch onto ancient conspiracy theories with deep roots in right-wing libertarianism, anti-Semitism, and xenophobia.

Or maybe Kanye West is just straight-up Illuminati.

In an interview with Paper magazine, Yeezus went on a rant, denying his involvement with the secret society. “If there was actually an Illuminati, it would be more like the energy companies,” he said. “Not celebrities that gave their life to music and who are pinpointed as decoys for people who really run the world.”

“Madonna is in her 50s and gave everything she had to go up on an award show and get choked by her cape. She’s judged for who she adopts,” he continued. “Fuck all of this sensationalism. We gave you our lives. We gave you our hearts. We gave you our opinions!”

So, is Kanye West really just the face of a brand? Or is he Illuminati? Or is there a difference? ∆∆∆∆∆∆∆
