CBC rebrands 'Q' as 'q' but it will still be known as 'Q'

It’s a big day at the CBC with the much anticipated relaunch of Q, their flagship show tarnished by, well, you know, and now hosted by Shad. And that’s partly why they’ve rebranded. Sort of. Actually, not really. Let me explain.

Last week, Q announced that it would rebranding as q, and no, that’s not a joke (though a lot of people made cutbacks jokes about it). But the CBC was concerned about confusion, so they’ve announced that while Q is now q, it will still be known as Q moving forward.

Please, please read that last sentence aloud.

They say they’re going to use the new, lower case logo when it comes to visuals, but for “clarity and readability” the program is going to keep referring to itself as Q. If you weren’t confused the rebrand before, we’ll wager you are now.
