The mixtape will feature rap and rock from Snoop, Anthrax, Method Man, Killswitch Engage and more

If you’re jonesing for season five of Game of Thrones, join the club. But while we’ve been tiding ourselves over by watching (and re-watching) the upcoming season’s trailer, some of rap and metal’s biggest names have been preparing a mixtape in anticipation, titled Catch the Throne II. The show is slated to premiere on April 12; the mixtape, however, drops on March 17.

The mixtape will be a mixture of rap and rock acts who are giant fans of the show: Anthrax, Snoop Dogg, Ty Dolla $ign, Mastodon, and Killswitch Engage are among the musicians contributing. That, and legendary wordsmith Talib Kweli, who might’ve dropped the best—and nerdiest—Game of Thrones-related rap song yet, titled “Lord of the Light.”

“I really nerded out on this song and there’s a Game of Thrones reference in just about every line,” he told Complex. And he’s right—see if you can decode every last hat-tip in the song below. Hint: It starts with Melisandre’s chilling line, “The night is dark and full of terrors.”

The mixtape, for its part, will feature clips from season four of Game of Thrones. If that isn’t enough to tide you over, head over to Catch the Thrones‘ Soundcloud page, which features tracks from the last mixtape by Big Boi (“Mother of Dragons”), Common (“The Ladder”), and Wale (“King Slayer”).
